Get More Customers with Local Search Results
Google Places and Google Maps enables you to search the entire web for just those shops or businesses
in a specific area that are of interest. Include a town or postcode in your search and Google will display relevant results from that area at the top of your search results.
Around 30% of the time people search on Google,
they are looking for businesses local to them, such as somewhere to eat
out, or an electrician to fix their socket. That's why it's important
to let people know that you are a local business that can help them. Gpages knows how to get your business listed on Google Places and be seen on Google Maps.
Promote Your Local Business Effectively
Are you finding it difficult to promote your local business
effectively?
'Local Search Engine Marketing' may be the
solution. It's a type of search that has
the intent of finding web results based on keyword queries relative to
geographic locations. Local Search Engine Marketing is most important for
businesses that serve distinct geographical areas.
With Google Places and Google Maps the
emphasis is on attracting local customers within a specific
geographical area where your Gpage, and your existing website, serves as
an online advert to let them know which products
or services you offer!
Put Your Business On The Map Today
If you're a business where customers visit your premises then you would benefit from a listing on Google Places and Google Maps.
Or if you can provide a service to local residents then Google Places and Google Maps would be ideal too.
Are you a Restaurant looking to fill those seats?
Or a Health Club trying to get people fit & healthy?
Or a Travel Agent able to provide a personal service to local people?
Perhaps you're a Plumber that wants people to know who can help in an emergency.
Whatever your business type Google Places could be the way to get your business on the map!
When people
search Google
for locally based businesses or information, they'll be able to get key
information such as addresses, opening hours, directions of how to get
to you, even a photo of your location. By ensuring that basic
information is up-to-date, businesses listed will stand out on the map
and be more likely to attract new customers.
Get Your Business Listed
Google Places and Google Maps
are free to be listed on (in order to make the ranking system as fair
as possible for everyone), so there's no way anyone can request or pay
for a better ranking.
The quick and easy way to get your business listed on Google Maps, saving you the time and trouble, is to let Gpages complete and manage the submission on your behalf at the same time as ordering your Gpage.
Just tick the Local Search Submission box on the Gpages Sign-Up form and we'll submit your business to Google Places so that it will show up on Google Maps and some Google Search results.
We'll ensure your Gpage is linked to it to maximise your online visibility, and add a description of your business from the information you've supplied to create your Gpage. It couldn't be simpler, and when you update your Gpage each year we'll also update your Google Places listing for FREE.
Just tick the Local Search Submission box on the Gpages order form and get Google to help your business develop.
Managing Your Listing
If Gpages submits your Google Places listing for you, you'll receive a confirmation email and be able to view your business listing on Google Maps once you have confirmed agreement to be listed.
Please be aware that our Google Places submission service is complementary to a customer's Gpage and is provided free of charge, but we do not offer a submission service to Google Places on it's own.
Should you wish to make any amendments or updates in the future, we can either continue to manage the process for you either for free at annual renewal, or
for a small administrative fee of £10 (+VAT) charged at the
time a listing amendment is requested. Alternatively if you prefer, we will release
the listing so that you can take it over and update it yourself via your own Google account.
Submit Your Listing Yourself
If you run a small business you can create a brand new listing for yourself by setting-up and then logging into a Google account of your own. After completing the forms online you'll be able to submit your listing to view on Google Maps.
